How to use the RUT deduction on Yepstr
We handle your RUT deduction automatically
Many of the services you book through our app, like babysitting and garden help, qualify for RUT deduction. These services are marked with a RUT symbol when you create your listing, and yeps see the discounted price when they respond.
When you pay, we automatically apply for the deduction and you only pay the cost after deduction. We handle the application to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) so you don't have to do anything.
If you don't want to apply for the deduction, you can uncheck it on the payment page. You'll then pay the full cost yourself instead.
You can read more about which services qualify for RUT deduction on Skatteverket's website.
Share the deduction with a partner
To avoid running out of RUT deduction, you can add a partner in the same household to share it with.
Here's how:
- Go to Account > Personal information and click Split RUT deduction with partner.
- Enter your partner's personal identity number.
- Your partner verifies with BankID.
- Choose a split: 50/50, all on you, or all on your partner. You can change this anytime.
- Done! Every time you pay via Yepstr, we apply for the deduction based on the split you've chosen.
If either person's application is rejected, we automatically apply for the full deduction on the other person instead - no action needed.
Book services for your parents with RUT deduction
Did you know you can use your own RUT deduction when booking and paying for services at your parents' home? When you create your listing, just change the address from your own to your parents'.
